Focusing almost entirely on Suntex, Brian P. DeVoss is a partner in Powell Coleman & Arnold LLP. Prior to joining Powell Coleman & Arnold LLP, Brian handled business transactions and business disputes at larger Texas-based law firms. Brian primarily handles the acquisition and disposition of both operating companies and multiple classes of commercial real estate in addition to the drafting and negotiation of various commercial contracts, including leases and financing documents, and the formation and capitalization of business entities. Brian’s business dispute background includes workouts and receiverships involving both commercial collections and regulatory matters relating to securities fraud and federal trade commission rules.
Brian received his B.B.A. from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in 2000 and his J.D. from the Tulane University in 2003. Brian was named a 'Texas Rising Star' by Thomson Reuters, a legal publisher, in each year since 2013. Brian is also an active community volunteer and since 2010 has served on the Board of Directors for Kids-U, a Dallas based charity operating tutoring centers for children in low-income apartments.
